What Have I Been Doing With My Time?

Outside of my normal life…husband, daddy, soccer-taxi, grill meister…I used the early months of the pandemic to learn a new skill: screenwriting. For years I’ve been intrigued by screenwriting, but one glance at a script always sent me running in the other direction. However, with all that time on my hands, I finally took the plunge.

After several courses, along with studying dozens of scripts, I jumped into the pool. Now, 18 months later, I’ve adapted several of my books, several of my unpublished books, and even penned an original feature. It’s been a great deal of fun.

Fun aside, I didn’t learn this skill purely for enjoyment. Stay tuned…I’m doing my best to gain traction with my scripts. As a wonderful, recovering entertainment lawyer told me, “You want to sell books? Get Hollywood interested.”

I’m trying. Please, cross your fingers.

P.S. I’ve not stopped writing novels! There are two in the can, one of which hopefully will be released in late 2022.
